Preaching on Thursday and Friday

Convocation 2021 welcomes two more wonderful preachers for our Thursday and Friday evening worship services open only for those who have registered.

Preaching at our Thursday Worship Service (8.5.2021 at 8:30PM Eastern) will be Rev. Sarah H. Hong of Minooka UMC, ordained in the Northern Illinois Conference and has formerly been in ministry in Bronx, NY, Atlanta, GA and Dixon, IL.  She and Rev. Caleb Yong Min Hong are raising two teenage daughters.

Preaching at our Friday Worship Service (8.6.2021 at 8:30PM Eastern) will be Rev. Joseph Kim of Bothell UMC, formerly Minister to Young People at Salem United Methodist Church in Harlem, New York, Director of Children’s Rights Advocacy at the General Board of Church and Society of the United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C., and Program and Administrative Assistant at the General Board of Church and Society of the United Methodist Church, United Nations Office.  He and Joann are raising two children as well as one dog.
